For now, I'm still not planning to rebuild, however I'm curious to start searching around for possibilities if I decide that that's the course I wanna take. Basically I'd be looking to offload all my big contracts for the most part in order to obtain expiring, picks, and young, inexpensive prospects with decent potential. I could do this in a variety of ways, but most likely I'd just try to get as much as I can for each individual big contract player since I don't know that any teams really have enough to give back straight expiring for a package of players that all have higher salaries. I could package my better players with some other guys I'd like to get rid of for expiring and picks but of course this would be contingent on other interested teams having the means to facilitate this.
Anyway, all of my guys could be available for a nice enough package. If you're particularly interested in certain players on my roster, feel free to send me some offers. Keep in mind what I would potentially be looking for so as to keep them realistic. There's no guarantee that I end up trading any of them, but if I get a nice enough offer I won't hesitate to pull the trigger as long as I could make some follow-up trades that would keep me moving in the same direction. I hope to hear from some GMs who might be looking to add some nice pieces to their team if my Wizards don't keep things going in the near future.

No offense, but just looking at that makes me not want to trade with you. This is just getting ridiculous. Then fucking don't. It's two seperate paragraphs containing valid information as to what I'm thinking. This post simply relates to my team and my players seeking any other potential trading partners. If you don't wanna read it, frankly I don't give a damn. |

I think you need to be more specific with what you'd like Fair enough. Picks are most important, however young players who were very recent first round picks hold about the same value. Only detractor is that those smaller contracts to slowly add up and can eat more of my cap that I would otherwise use on FAs. Expiring this year or in the near future would be essential to go along with it since I'd also want the cap to go after some free agents if this is the course I take. To make sure I'm clear: I do not plan to deal right away unless I'm bowled over. My team has gotten off to a pretty nice start with a couple injuries so I wanna give them a little time to make sure I'm gonna choose the right path. |

Haha, just kidding. I repeat: THAT WAS A JOKE!Just making sure people don't misunderstand me again. Seriously though, how is that "pretty much what you said"? You said that by reading my block you didn't want to trade with me. Jeff, I like you and didn't mean to direct a rant at you, but I just kinda feel like people can take what they want from my posts. If that's nothing at all because they completely ignore them, then so be it. Maybe I will post another (very much shorter) trading block and see how people like that. I'm just not sure how people find it effective when teams simply copy and paste their roster from the web site and then say they like first round picks and players with A potential. I mean no shit! Maybe I just need to gear each post in this forum to one specific player. Maybe it's easier for people to understand what I'm trying to do when I don't just make it an entire team in general kind of thing. Also, I just try to post something every now and again in the Trade Talk forum because I know Will expects that. I didn't mean for this to cause people to become angry at me, LOL. |
